Michal Prokop wins the 4X Pro Tour in Scotland
14.06.2012

The World Champion Michal Prokop unfortunately had to give up the first race of 4X Pro Tour in Houffalize as he wanted to qualify for the Olympic BMX race. All hopes onto a successful result of a 2nd race in Poland were flushed away due to a very strong rain which changed the terrain into a muddy slippery ride. In the 3rd race, in the Italian Val di Sole, Michal achieved a 2nd place on his crimson Specialized P.3.

The traditional mecca of the fourcross races is in the Fort William in Scotland. This place should be attended by all the pessimists who do not consider fourcross as a mainstream discipline. Set in the middle of the mountains, 200 km away from big towns, you find thousands of fans roaring around the track who come here from the entire Britain. Due to a technical problem Michal was forced to ride the qualifier only on one gearing and when he was at 4th position he was losing one sec to a winner. Apart from that, the whole race went without any other problems. Even, inconvenient position in the gate, and eventually not that successful startup did not influence Michal in any way, and he literally flew through the first straight with a spark of a triple World Champion and kept his leadership until the finishing line.

Michal Prokop won the race in Fort William!
